...Trying to wake a sleeping baby!...

Honestly I think it's madness to wake a sleeping baby especially one who only naps for short periods in the day and wakes with any noise or movement too!
She's a light sleeper who's eyes ping awake just when you don't want them too!
But as we are in the Uk she has been sleeping later and later at night, waking in the night (almost unheard of in baileys repetoire!) and sleeping in!
But today we have visitors....I pick her up...I put her down....I eventually stand her up and walk around she looks at me with an 'are you completely mad' look, mummy it's the middle of the night!
Boy these 7 hour time differences are a killer!

Happy little B

Oh she is a happy little B, fed, changed and not bored or overtired she is happy, happy, happy!
Those first few weeks were hard she didn't like to go to sleep and it seemed like she cried for three straight hours at night! Luckily my parents stayed with us for 6 weeks in the end!
And mum and I would just look at each other, countless times I would say 'what's wrong with her?' there were regular tears, it's hard when your just getting to know this little thing and she's upset and you don't know how to make her better.
Some nights it was almost as if she was watching the clock when it hit 12 she'd fall asleep, once she was literally mid cry the clock turned 12 o'clock and she fell asleep, gone!
I think she just didn't know how to fall asleep, eventually instead of rocking, walking, trying more feed, changing her, I put her in her crib swaddled her and put her dummy in the gripe water then in her mouth - repeated it and she fell asleep.
Thankfully those days are gone and fingers crossed she sleeps well (I'll say it quietly!!!) she has slept well 10 hrs from 6 weeks old!!! Amazing yes! Will it last, I hope and pray!!!
Definitely makes for a happy baby, and even more so a happy mummy!

three in the bed and the little one said.....

"I know, I'm gonna keep mummy awake all night and she's keeping daddy awake with her snoring when she does sleep so no one is getting any real sleep, at least they be ready when I blast into the scene in October"

mmmm I am not sleeping from 4/5 ish onward and feel sicky, hungry, tired all rolled into one thought not sure which is making me feel funny the most and baby g just kicks and kicks sometimes it feel like a have a few carp wriggling around in my tummy sometimes a mule!

I then go back to bed around 7ish and sleep too deeply I feel weird all morning! oh and I have really low blood pressure now too

In one of my wakeful nights sleep I lay and watched him sleep trying to imaging a baby version of his face (he was not impressed when I told him in the morning and said it was creepy!) but I couldn't help thinking I might have two versions of him soon, one on his side of the bed and one on the other in a crib looking exactly like him just in miniature! awe I can't wait to meet little g xxx
