oooch ouch!

oh my it bloody hurt!
So I had a manual turn of my baby today call a version.
They hook you up to IV/ heart rate monitor give you a injection to relax the uterus and then manually push the baby into the right position.
Its a mixture of feelings pressure/ stretching/ tearing sensation and plain pain, my legs were squirming all over the place, the breathing wasn't working I was holding breath and squeezing Steve hand so hard - oh dear roll on childbirth! It's more of a traumatic experience than I thought as you spend your whole pregnancy being so careful not to get bumped, knocked or elbowed even little kicks from the kids and then you have this immense pressure and movement to shift your baby - v strange.

I nearly lost the plot and then it was done baby was down it was all over, let hope it stays down now as I'm not doing it again!
Although I have to say my ob Christee is AMAZING and so bloody strong, should've known she has a hell of a handshake! she was brill and the nurses at Rose medical were great too, I felt in safe hands.

Phwew now at home, Steve ordered a take away yum and I'm now drinking a white hot chocolate double yum!  in my PJ's up in my nursery, while Steve and Gary are downstairs watching the Soccer - it's lively down there the pressure of the push for the playoffs is upon us.

hiccups....

how many a times a day can a little baby get hiccups - yep its happening again now like a really strong heartbeat moving my whole tummy!

It wakes me up in the morning it happens through the night and day, they say its the baby practicing using the same muscles as breathing - does that mean you're coming soon??

I had a bit of a breakdown yesterday tears and snot it was the NAN legs and feet that did it I'm so fat its frightening, and oh there's that thing we've got to get through before we get the baby - LABOUR- which I'm starting to freak out about, Steve is as always amazing but even he can't quite love the NAN legs and fat feet! and the hope of me 'maning up' may be a distant wish it hurts walking to the loo in the middle of the night! hips/back/flat feet/ swollen tops of feet/ what am I going to be like!

Last night the baby was moving v weirdly you could see its feet sticking out the side of my tummy you could almost hold it - we gave it a pep talk! come on little one we're ready if a little scared!

Cute for a heffer

At the start of this pregnancy I though I would be the cutest pregnant dresser ever I had so many ideas or what I was gonna wear and how cute I would look but somewhere along the way I mixed up my words and cute....became...comfy!
Now I don't care what I look like its all about how comfy I feel, especially with the wonderful weather we are having here in Denver, Colorado - the idea now is - how comfy can I get and not show sweat marks!!!
Also have you seen some of the prices of maternity stuff? luckily my friend gave 3 boxes of maternity stuff which I have quickly out grown most - so the occasional cuteness is due to her x

Today I'm having a BAD day I have just looked in the mirror and my lovely legs, have been replaced by tree truck 'nan' legs with hugely swollen trotters sticking out from rather unflattering shorts (which my friend plans to burn when I'm no longer pregnant as she hates them so much - I'm having to agree with her lately!) and my t-shirt feels a tad too small as my fat arms bulge out from it, the boobs are contained but again make the t-shirt tight the only thing thats makes me smile is my nice fat round belly with baby kicking and moving around in it.
Today I'm not hitting either cute or comfy - its time to have this baby!!!

Do you hear that baby g, were ready hurry up!

baby washing on the line!!!!

I washed all the baby gear this last week - so weird seeing it on the washing racks.... better get use to it!

Also a shot of my workers - Mum and Dad or should I say Grandma and Grandpa you were great....

It's been a hectic few weeks with Mum and Dad here, they left yesterday, I have worked them hard and felt it myself too even watching them has been tiring! - so now its rest time ready for what Steve is now calling 'THE BIG PUSH'
He also told me when I was having a little moan the other day that's its ok to moan every now and again as long as when the time comes I 'MAN UP' - ha so funny - I did say if he used those words in the birthing sweet he may get a punch! but he qualified it by saying we're in it together and we would man up together! ahhhh

41 inches

hee hee I'm 41 inches round!
but that's the funny part the not so funny part its that my petite feet are now 10 inches around the middle part of my foot - ankle or should I say cankles are 10.5 round the largest part - I have fat old lady feet! booo and they actually feel bad too like I'm a sausage that's not been pricked on a BBQ!!!
check out the photos not for the squeamish!

These were taken 3 days ago and looking at them now I think they might now be worse! ha the hidden joys they don't tell you about!

Feel good still thou so can't complain too much! a little uncomfortable in the evenings and few twinges, tightening, and sleepless nights from 4 onwards but other than that good!

Blessing Way

I want to thank the girls here in Denver for throwing me the most amazing baby shower ever!!!
It was amazing I didn't know what to expect and was quite nervous as I've never had a party thrown in my honor before and not knowing what is going to happen is not me - not that I'm a control freak!

Invites had been sent out here and to my friends back home, I didn't know what was in the invite see above......

All the ladies here and the invites I sent back home responded so quickly and Jen who organised it was amazed at the response from the UK ladies - you did me proud! here are the beads with a few with blessings still attached - some necklace eh, think I may get Steve to wear it when I'm in Labor!

I will post the blessings in one of my next posts so you can read them they were amazing we were ALL crying from the word go and one my friends arrived here midway through the blessings and was in tears within seconds, it was an emotional day, and I went to bed exhausted emotionally drained and with a headache, ahhh it was great, something I will always remember and I'm glad Steve stuck around to here all the wonderful things people were saying (made me feel so loved and happy) and also my parents were here too, so even. though my friends from back home and sisters weren't present it felt like they were with their blessings for me, Steve and the baby.

I want to thank my friends both here in the US and I also want to thank my friends back home, you did me proud everyone got involved and embraced the idea and you all made me cry and realise why I call you my friends, Friends new and old thank you soooo much for making me feel so special and loved on this amazing day it was amazing and I'm going to try to get the video up on the blog if possible so you can see some of the blessings.

I love you all and couldn't be more happy to have you all as my friends I'm a lucky girl to be surrounded, here and back in the UK with such special ladies.
