Smitten Handmade!!!
I visited the fancytiger store in Denver the other day and was blown away - I had already checked out their website and blog and knew I would find it hard not to blow the budget on the fabric Ribbons and 'Stuff' they stock but whooooaaaahhh, I blew the budget have a look at what I got! ahhhh
I'm hoping to make 2/3 cushions for my Adirondack in my nursery and a couple of owls to put on my wall in my birch tree wall stickers!
Wish me luck and a good kick up the arse as I have a habit of starting project and never finishing them!!!

Smitten with what I've bought....

Next up, bed, video camera and camera as mine has decided to slowly break! will be able to video the baby kicking as it is now - my belly is wiggling all over the place.

Crumb Catchers.....
Bristol's, boobs, tits, melons, jugs, call them what you will mine are now one thing and one thing to me....Crumb Catchers.
I don't know how I coped before, surely I now vacuum less because of them? everyone should get a large pair - you don't have to worry about the 20 second rule of food falling on the floor, the crumb catchers get anything you drop and cause they're your crumb catchers you could have a biscuit in there all day and still be able to eat it!!!!! well unless its a chocolate one...too messy!
Honestly every night I take my bra off and I have a line of crumbs under my boobs, gross!
How do 'larger' people cope....they must have lines of crumbs in more places than just under the boobs, whole sandwiches probably!
Downside....they don't just catch crumbs....my t-shirts are always stained as food just seems to drop there and hit either the catchers or the barrel belly! ah well!

just daydreaming.....about baby
what will you will be like? will you look like me or will you look like Steve?
In one of my wakeful nights sleep I lay and watched him sleep trying to imaging a baby version of his face (he was not impressed when I told him in the morning and said it was creepy!) but I couldn't help thinking I might have two versions of him soon, one on his side of the bed and one on the other in a crib looking exactly like him just in miniature! awe I can't wait to meet little g xxx

No Swimming! a RANT!!!!
I thought swimming would be a good exercise for me as I've given up my gym membership (not that I went much anyway)
But we have 3 outdoor pools in the neighborhood and beautiful weather so....
well I though a little swim would be good, I've been 3 times....here are the problems...
too many Kids
too many Babies
too many parent of kids
too many grandparents of kids
too many pool toys
too many inflatables
all people are oblivious to a paranoid pregnant girl who doesn't need a little s*** jumping in on her, and NO I DON'T THINK HE'S CUTE OR CLEVER, JUST CAUSE HE CAN NOW JUMP IN ON HIS OWN, FREAKY PARENT! if he comes near me again I'll drown him!
and NO I don't want you to swim through my legs, miss and whack me in my Fanny! (that's a front bottom in the UK)
I'M NOT PLAYING!!!
I'm also worried I'm gonna get:
kicked
dive bombed
elbowed
Squirted with water shooter
squirted with a little boys water shooter!
Dunked
goosed
worried I'm going to ingest:
pee
poo
sick
snot
saliva
and on top of all that...it feels weird, like my belly is hanging too low and uncomfortable.
oh and floating seems to be hard too, you'd think it would be easier to float now I look like a barrel, but no I'm a sinking barrel!

Good things about being pregnant....
Well aside from the obvious! getting a baby yeah!!!!
here are some fun reasons and slightly-weird-good reasons to get pregnant!
Even though you get such a wonderful thing out of being pregnant, you'll always hear the negative about being pregnant, morning sickness, stretch marks, piles, etc even I on this blog have had a few moans, but for the most part I LOVE being pregnant, don't get me wrong I've been lucky so far and had none of the bad symptoms bar heartburn!

here are some fun reasons and slightly-weird-good reasons to get pregnant!
- Eating ice- cream guilt free guzzling of ice cream
- Sex dreams, wild ones! extremely slightly embarrassingly wild ones
- napping with no guilt that you have something better to do
- no need to vacuum anymore - its too heavy to lug downstairs you have to get someone else to do it
- you don't need to undo buttons/ zips when you pee - just pull your jeans down - everything is elasticated once your pregnant!
- elastic waisted jeans - now I had an aversion to them but now I've embrace them I love em - no butt cleavage, or digging in your belly when you sit down - comfy elastic!
- Belly bands - I'm gonna wear these for the rest of my life - you know when your t-shirts just a little too short and your jeans are showing your butt - well the belly band just covers that all up while holding in your muffin top belly too! bonus, ever have that problem - get a belly band!
- people let you have their chair, whether out or on public transport.
- Thick hair - who knew it was so good!
- the answer to 'do i look fat it this' is for the first time in your life quite happily yes, and its great!
- foot massages, back massages are standard daily routine once pregnant.
- Hair feels not as greasy!
- You don't get as sweaty, but you do get sweaty creases!
- skin glows - well people tell me it does!
- people tell you, you look good, even stranger at the pool or grocery store have said ' you look really well' or you look really cute (me cute in my bathing suit - I though I looked like a whale but happily I look cute - a stranger told me so it must be true!).
- lots of hand holding and looking after by your guy - I can't cross a road or go up or down stairs without a hand to hold - v protective
- lots more cuddles and kisses and love from your man, he's just as excited as you are!
- Guilt free shopping sprees - for baby its so much fun!
- A feeling like your doing a great thing for your family! every ones proud of you.

Last home pedi...
Goodbye home pedicures, you were good saver of money but unfortunately I can no longer bend in the middle or get into any position where my arm is not fully outstretched to paint my tootsies, and that's when this happens.... look away now if you hate feet!
Shocking! Steve you'd better get yourself good at painting....or I'll be spending all the money I should be spending on the babe on my feet instead! and I wouldn't mind but it wont be long before I can't even see them!

Sometimes I forget....
update on the forgetfulness of Rhian's pregnancy.......friends of ours have moved into a hotel until there house is ready to move into....it has a 2 hour FREE happy hour every day!
I got really excited and said lets have a night there with the girls and get wasted! everyone just looked at me! Then I remembered oh yeah I'm pregnant! and I was enthusiastically wanting to get drunk like a college kid - like I was ever the one to get drunk anyway!

Eco Bums or not Eco bums??
Oh my what a decision - ease or Eco, because I don't care what people say it is a simple as that, I have yet to read about an eco nappy (diapers) that hasn't got man hours involved.
While I want to be eco I also know I'm gonna be tired, stressed and not in any shape for origami!
So at the moment my choice is seventhgeneration disposable nappies for first few weeks..... for ease and getting steve and I use to changing a wriggling baby...
Then my hope is to switch to either bumgenius, I've chosen these so far though I have not tested them but they seem the nicest, don't have awful poppers which I think would be horrid to feel through the babies clothes, we'll see gonna do some more research and come back with my findings....
Or my favourite ones gdiapers - they even have a little g on the back how cool little g's for baby g!!!!
Is it wrong to choose something based on a logo?
No seriously they have rave reviews and you can interchange them with either a cloth insert or they have a flushable/ compostable insert for ease, so I can start with these and use both the cloth insert and the disposable inserts on days out when I don't want to carry around pooey inserts for a whole day or weekend away with no washing facilities - its like a win win situation!
Also since I started researching for this post I've hear that the seventh gen nappies are not biodegradable at all! so not so good!

I'm so smitten with myself at the moment Steve said I look glowing and beautiful at the moment and he thinks it's because I'm so happy, and I am so happy, I feel like I'm doing the most fun thing in the world.
I don't want to be too smug because I feel for all the ladies trying for a baby and thinking smug cow, but I was there for years, and years and it didn't happen and I felt like the world was all wrong and I was happy with so much in my life but that one thing made me unhappy.
Now I'm completely smitten with being this round pregnant lady, I catch myself in shop window or when I walk past a mirror and I can't help but make a smiley 'hmmm' noise about myself - do you know what I mean about the 'hmmm' noise it just comes out I can't explain, but its a proud smug noise sorry!

I LOVED THE MOVIE I watched it a while ago, but watching its complicated and blogging about the house in it reminded me of the house in it (both films are directed by the same woman)
I couldn't quite work out how to get the actual house from this movie, but this popped up simular, you can rent it, well you can rent it if you have money, serious money!!!! its in Idaho - and on VRBO (vacation rentals by owner) and is billed as the Somethings got to give house!
OH but this is my wonderful dream home for a beachside house in say cape cod, ahhh its fabulous to dream......
Rent this on VRBO it'll cost you as much to buy a small house but hey whatever floats your boat!

I'm sorry you are going to be sleeping in a drawer for the first few months of your life as I had banked on Brazil winning the world cup, and well they lost today, with an own goal no less -- you'll realise once Daddy starts his teachings that an own goal is BAD! esp in the world cup!
So I did earmark the winnings to buy you a moses basket, sorry kid it's a drawer for you, you'll be fine right?
